Frequently Asked Questions
How do I play ZipSwift?
Start at node 1 and draw a continuous path through the grid. Visit each numbered node in ascending order (1 → 2 → 3...) while filling every cell exactly once. You can only move horizontally or vertically. Complete the path at the final numbered node to win!
What are the different game modes?
ZipSwift offers several modes: Daily Challenges (new puzzle every day), Time Attack (beat the clock), Speed Run (complete puzzles as fast as possible), No Undo (extra challenge without backtracking), and Zen (relaxing, no timer). Each mode offers a unique way to enjoy the puzzles.
How do hints work?
You get 3 hints per game. Tap the hint button to reveal the next correct move in your path. Using hints affects your star rating, so try to solve puzzles without them for the best score!
What do the difficulty levels mean?
Easy puzzles have more numbered nodes (12) to guide your path. Medium has 8 nodes, and Hard has only 5 nodes, requiring more planning. You can also choose grid sizes: 4×4, 5×5, or 6×6.
How is my star rating calculated?
Your star rating (1-3 stars) is based on completion time and hints used. Complete puzzles quickly without hints to earn 3 stars!
Is my progress saved?
Yes! Your game progress, streak data, and achievements are saved locally on your device. If you use Game Center, your achievements and leaderboard scores are synced to your Apple account.
How do I unlock themes?
Themes are unlocked as you progress through the game. Keep solving puzzles and completing challenges to unlock Neon, Paper, Minimal, and Ocean themes.
Does ZipSwift work offline?
Yes! ZipSwift works completely offline. You only need an internet connection for Game Center features like leaderboards and syncing achievements.
How do I restore my progress on a new device?
Your Game Center achievements and leaderboard scores sync automatically when you sign in with the same Apple ID. Local game progress is stored on your device and does not sync between devices.
